Local Data Storage:
- Favorited Articles: When you favorite articles, they are stored locally on your device using Android’s Room database
- Article History: The app caches news articles locally for offline viewing
- App Preferences: Your notification preferences are stored locally
No Analytics or Tracking:
- We do NOT use analytics services
- We do NOT track your behavior
- We do NOT collect usage statistics
- We do NOT use advertising SDKs
All data is processed and stored locally on your device only:
- Displaying AI news articles from public RSS feeds

Data We Access from Third Parties
RSS News Feeds:
- The app fetches AI news from public RSS feeds (such as TechCrunch, MIT News, AI News, etc.)
- These news sources are publicly available and do not contain personal information
- No user data is sent to these sources
Permissions Required
Internet Permission
- Purpose: To fetch news articles from RSS feeds
- Data Sent: None (read-only access to public feeds)
Notification Permission (Android 13+)
- Purpose: To notify you when new AI articles are available
- Data Used: Article titles and summaries (no personal data)
- Optional: You can deny this permission and still use the app
Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored locally on your device using Android’s encrypted storage
- No cloud backups: We do not sync or backup your data to any servers
- No data transmission: Your favorites and preferences never leave your device
- Uninstall: All app data is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app

AIDicted does NOT use any third-party services including but not limited to:
- Analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics)
